Space Mint sauce combines with leftover veg to make a cosmic carrot salad!
It’s two months (nine weeks, actually) since our space garden landed, and Ryan and I became pseudonauts.
When they were planning the Veggie growth system for the ISS, NASA investigated which species to grow in it. They were looking for leafy vegetables with good growth and nutrition, which the astronauts would enjoy eating.
Three weeks after we planted the Hydroponicum, we’ve been picking (and not keeping up with) the lettuce, kale and mizuna for salads.
Ryan and I have started a new plant-growing journey – hydroponics!
