O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
Your branches green delight us!
They are green when summer days are bright,
They are green when winter snow is white.
O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree,
Your branches green delight us!”

The English version of the German Christmas carol O Tannenbaum ๐Ÿ™‚

Just after Christmas last year, I bought two living Christmas trees that were being sold off cheaply at one of our local DIY stores. I recently rediscovered the receipt, which is fortunate because the labels have long since disappeared. I am now trying to work out which tree is which.

I think this one is the Fraser Fir; it has been living in a terracotta pot and has suffered somewhat from drought. My plan is to re-pot it into a similar size of plastic pot when one becomes available.

And I think this one is the Norway Spruce. It has been happy in its large, plastic pot all summer and is thriving.
