Alys on fresh mint in February

I loved this Instagram post from Alys Fowler so much, I just had to share 🙂

Want fresh mint? 1. Dig up some dormant mint roots, whether that some growing in the ground or a pot. Mint thrives on being divided so it’s a good thing to do anyway. 2. Choose some nice looking rhizomes with lots of new shoots. 3. Pot up in a tray indoors. The heat will have the mint sprouting in days and within two weeks you’ll have plenty of mint to pick. Grows perfectly well on a north facing window.

Great tip, now that you mentioned it – I would love some mint in my green tea so I think some mint is on my shopping list.
